New Notion feature just dropped: Home & My Tasks
Introduction to the features
Notion can track everything that you do across the different areas of work and life. Its power relies on the ability to link databases to form a system. However, if you have multiple databases across your workspace, tracking information can sometimes get confusing if you need to check across multiple places. Notion's new features make it easier to stay on top of your to-dos and projects across your workspace. With Home and My Tasks, you'll find information relevant to you in one neat page. You can see everything at a glance and dive into your projects and tasks without any hassle.
Benefits of using Home & My Tasks
Notion is known for its flexibility and customization, and Home is no exception. You don't have to spend hours creating a fancy dashboard - just set up your Home page the way you like it with Home.
Want to see only the things that matter to you? Easy peasy, just customize it in the settings.
And when it comes to managing your tasks, forget about creating a complicated master task database. With My Tasks, you can easily find all the tasks assigned to you in one place. This means less time stressing about setting things up, and more time using your workspace.
How to navigate Home
Home is like your main hub where all your work lives. It's the first thing you see when you open Notion, and you can use it to stay organized and productive.
To access Home, just go to the left sidebar in Notion and select it. From there, you'll find various sections or widgets to help you filter through your tasks and projects.
Show various sections or widgets
You'll come across various sections or widgets that can really boost your productivity and organization.
You've got things like the Recently Used carousel - just a quick way to hop back to pages you've been working on.
And then there's the Suggested For You widget, which is basically like a little helper, throwing out ideas that might interest you.
Oh, and don't forget about the Trending widget - always good to know what everyone else is checking out.
And of course, there's the Featured Templates widget, full of goodies to streamline your work.
Not to mention the Learn widget, perfect for developing your Notion skills.
Utilizing My Tasks
My Tasks makes it super convenient to see what you need to work on and when, all in one place. So if you want to make sure you're always on top of what tasks due, utilizing My Tasks is perfect for you.
Moreover, what's really cool is that you can customize and adjust what tasks you see in My Tasks, so you only see the stuff that really need your attention. Plus, you can create a new task to any of the existing Notion task databases directly from My Tasks. And if you're not a fan, you can hide it easily if you prefer to not use it.
